Prey to K-Dramas

Recently, I became fell into the trap of Korean dramas… there was one night whereby I was just channel surfing and then lo and behold!!! I stumbled onto Channel U’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’. I was the unknowing prey and the actors in the drama were the predators (then where’s the alien???? hahahaa, corny…) anyhoo, I fell to the charms of one Che Cheng Jun (actor’s real name is Kwon Sang Woo). I exclaimed a la some blondes that we know on TV… “oh my gosh!!! He’s like… oh my gosh…. totally gorgeous!!!!, totally dudette!!!” And hence, I got sucked into the drama-mama world K-drama… whilst other viewers are grabbing a dozen boxes of tissue, I was like… ‘Totally handsome dudette’… I was smiling to myself like a half-wit idiot, grinning from ear to ear…

Anyhoo, my obsession was made known to my dearly beloved friends around me… then lo and behold one of them actually has the entire drama on VCD!!!!!!!! I was like, totally awesome dude!!!!! I would have started singing: ‘the hills are alive, with the sound of music…la la la la…’ if I wasn’t working…

And so, after my kind-hearted friend loaned the drama to me on Sunday, I’ve been trying to squeeze some time after work to watch… today’s Tuesday and sad to say, I’ve only watched till episode 3… I wanted to ‘chong’ all the way… but alas, this body of mine cannot tahan the intense drama-mama of K-drama… and have to give up for the night… aiya, ok lah, the truth of the matter is that I need at least 8 hours of beauty rest everyday lah… otherwise hor, u see me talking nonsense and laughing at stupid things lah…

Anyhoo, I have some comments to make about the 1^st three episodes leh.. wah, u really hate that Youli and her mother (whatever her name is). wah piang, if I were in Jingshu’s shoes, I’ll play along with them mother-daughter team. Act like an angel in front of the father… then behind his back, wah, become the devil himself. You know, do inconspicuous tricks like cutting their shoe laces, breaking the heal of every shoe, cutting all the buttons on their clothes, substituting their soap/shampoo with bleach or something disgusting but odourless… you know, that kind of thing lah. Cannot take it lying down, cannot be a target for the disgusting mother-daughter to bully!!! Having said that, I have a disclaimer to make. I’m making all these statements without God in the picture lah. If put God in the picture, lagi power… I donch have to do anything, God Himself will defend me. Amen.

I think the mother damn greedy lor. She’s a famous actress already, so I would think that she has tons of money. Then marry Jingshu’s dad, lagi power, she’ll have more money. Then why would she want to instigate her daughter Youli to fight with Jingshu for Cheng Jun? Really you know, the poor may steal one watermelon, but sometimes the greedy rich will steal one truckload of watermelons.
