The K-Drama Saga Continues

Last night I managed to watch till episode 8 of Stairway to Heaven. The reason for this is because I watched part of episode 4-6 on TV already. Anyhoos, so far whilst I’m watching the drama, I’m like… wah piang eh… very the drama can… and I learnt a couple of things from the drama:

Things that the traveling turtle learnt from watching part of Stairway to Heaven:

1. The course of true love never did run smooth.

· Me not so smart to come up with this phrase. It’s from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Hated that book. Bleah.

· Anyhoo, the drama is getting a tat on my nerves even though there’s a cute guy. I mean, hallo!!! You trying for a Romeo and Juliet here? When Jingshu recovered her memory, she went to look for Chengjun. When she found him, she just looked at him without opening her golden mouth. I mean, hallo!!!!! You’ll think that the Jingshu who recovered her memory lost her brains at the same time. I mean, be real lor!!! When Jingshu saw Chengjun, she should have told him that it’s her right??? You cannot expect Chengjun to know that Jingshu recovered her memory what… how do you expect him to know??? Through Jingshu’s eye power??? Or through osmosis and diffusion???? Siao ah…

2. One may smile and smile and be a villain.

· This is also another one from Shakespeare. It’s from Hamlet. Love that book!

· This is for Jingshu’s stepmother, Mira. Power you know… makes one think twice whether one should marry an actor/actress. *shudder*

3. Sound mic…

· I think it was episode 7 (can’t remember), there was a scene whereby both Tae Hwa and Jingshu were on top of the scaffold talking and all. I think it was Mid Shot or Long Shot. Then lo and behold!!!!!!!!!!! I saw the sound mic!!!!!!!!!!! Omigosh!!!!!!!!!! So unprofessional!!!!!!!!!! I guess the director didn’t see it, or they were on a tight schedule and just cannot afford to re-shoot. This kind of shot I think very hard to damage control. I doubt one can rotoscope it out as well. Then again, maybe can rotoscope the mic out, but it’s gonna take a VERY long time and it’ll cost a lot. If I’m not wrong, it takes 1 hour in smoke to rotoscope something out of 1 frame. Since 1 second has 24 frames, that’ll means that one need 24 hours in smoke lor. And that mic was there for more than 1 sec ok… you do the math.

That’s about it actually. I’ll probably learn more stuff as the drama proceeds.
